Mike Harkey, PE

Michael (Mike) Harkey is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 18 years of experience in the industry. Registered in 17 states, Mike specializes in electrical systems designs for complex facilities, like hospitals and multi-building campuses, bringing significant expertise to the Insight team. He has worked on projects in healthcare, education, commercial, and government sectors. This robust experience enables Mike to scale design solutions to the project at hand.

The thing Mike loves most about his work is continuous learning. The John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital Chiller Plant Upgrade is one of his favorite projects for that reason. The project required close coordination between mechanical and electrical disciplines and a complex construction phasing plan. Together, the team learned new approaches all while solving the Owner’s challenges.
