Primary focus includes electrical design, low-voltage, and fire alarm systems for architectural or owner-direct projects in the MEPF environment. Project building types include commercial, government, healthcare, and educational. Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for engineering and design activities including working directly with design team members to produce engineering documents and designs
Review designs and drawings for accuracy and code compliance as Engineer of Record
Provide training and mentoring for electrical team members
Manage and report status and cost of projects
Coordinate with all disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical, Structural, Fire-Systems, Plumbing, and/or contractors, to ensure that the project designs are effectively integrated for each project
Qualifications and Skills
4+ years of building electrical and lighting design experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering at ABET-accredited school
PE or PE Eligible
Strong background with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit Strong knowledge of electrical, building, and energy codes
Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
Able and interested in performing survey work in the field and travel within Arkansas
Able to prepare construction drawings and specifications Able to perform survey and inspection work relative to project design
